Since my sister-in-law had her 4th baby, her older three are in Florida on a grandparents tour. We spent Memorial Day Weekend in Tampa to get the cousins together. I posted my pictures on facebook about as quickly as I took them for their mom who was probably missing them, but here's a review of our weekend.
Arrive in Tampa. Get in the pool. Stay there forever. (More or less.)
Even after hours and hours this doesn't lose it's appeal because of the cousin factor.
See? Lots of cousins. :-) Once Bethan joins the party and Baby M&M arrives in August we may need to stop or else Gran and Papa will have to get a bigger couch.
A great thing about this group of cousins is how close they are in age. Will and Kaden are the oldest. They are one year one month and one day apart and this is the widest age gap in the "sets." Here's what I means by "sets."'
Blue and Kirsten are the next set and they are two months apart.
Then come Toby and Ben and they are two and a half months apart.
Then come the twins and they are well, actually twins.
And the final set, Bethan and Baby M&M (name as of yet undecided but her parents are Matt and Marissa so...) will be close to three months apart.
And THEN there are all the second cousins, five of whom live in Tampa and make appearances as well. Like Gage and Nikole in the cousin line up (youngest to oldest) here:
And then there are Kevin's first cousins five of whom are still teenagers and super popular when willing to play with the next generation.
Me, a gal who grew up an only child not knowing the family on my Dad's side and being the only grandchild on my Mom's side... THIS is the family I married into. But I'm up for it. When we were dating and I was meeting Kevin's extended family for the first time at a reunion in Tennessee I made him quiz me on names and connections throughout the drive. These days I quiz him.
