I bought each of the kids a drawing notebook so that we could do special art projects through the summer.
We're off to a slow start.
Kaden's first picture was to draw the same Foo Foo the Snoo I had drawn for Toby's Seuss party.
Blue's first assignment was to use a purple crayon and draw something from Harold and the Purple Crayon.
Toby's first assignment was to do whatever he wanted and to stick on Curious George stickers.
Earlier this week I had Kaden and Blue do a still life and I used Toby's sketch pad to do it with them and then had Toby color my picture. I told them to make their picture as wide or as tight as they wanted but that they could only draw the things they saw in front of them. And we had to draw for twenty minutes. Yup, I make this stuff up as I go, people.
We each sat on tile in front of these windows.
Closer look at the finished products:
(Kaden's, Blue's, Mine/Toby's)
That's all we've got. But I have a copy of Drawing with Children so I think it will be fun to do a few more open assignments and then start working on the excercises in the book. We'll see...
