Sandhill Crane sightings are more and more common these days. It used to be we could go a week with seeing one of these birds. Now we see them every day, multiple times a day. Does Port St Lucie have better bugs? Is it all the rain (Holy sogginess. Will it EVER stop?) we've been getting causing more creepy crawly things to come out so with food in more abundance their numbers are in more abundance?
I don't know. I just love seeing them. Usually they are in pairs. Ever so often you'll see a group of three or four, but the other day we saw TEN by the playground.
