Blue's music teacher hosted "Music Open House" this week. Pretty much, parents were told when their kid's class had music and invited to attend.
I wasn't so sure it would work out with Toby. But siblings were allowed to attend, so we were going to try. I warned Blue that just because we were coming didn't mean we were staying.
But when we were arrived and the teacher announced that siblings could join in, I knew we'd be ok. Toby loves to sing. Holding him back was going to be the problem. I didn't have to hold him back!
The other parents all sat along the back. I hopped around between letting Toby be on his own and sitting with him for support.
But mostly I left him to be with Blue.
Ok shutter speed was too slow - but still, adorable.
The two times I felt I really needed to be at Toby's side was during rhythm sticks (except for when I took this pic) to prevent him from whacking the cutie girl on his side. (No biggie if he whacked Blue. He does that every day.)
All the kids clumped together around one teacher wth a book isn't the best for Toby. Clustered kids. Toby in tight spaces. He's likely to kick out. So I sat on the floor during story time and squeezed him tight on my lap during the book. This pretty much worked. (I was the only one subjected to kick outs.)
Go, Toby! Just a three year old hanging with the big kindergartners. AND he was the FIRST sibling to join in. Another little boy joined in eventually but two others never left their mom's sides.
Love him!
